These terms form an agreement between you and PolyLife (operated by Patrick Curl). Please read them, and our Privacy Policy, before using the app.
PolyLife is only for people aged 18 or older. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18, that you can form a binding contract, and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
You may hold only one account, and you are responsible for everything that happens under it. Keep your login secure and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
PolyLife helps people practicing ethical non-monogamy meet and organize their relationships. We provide matching and relationship tools; we do not screen, interview, or run criminal-background or identity checks on members beyond the optional selfie verification, which is not a guarantee of anyone's identity or intentions.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Meet in public, tell a friend, and use the in-app safety check-ins. PolyLife is not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline.
PolyLife has a zero-tolerance policy for the conduct below. Any of it can result in immediate, permanent removal of your account and — where the law requires — a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. This list is not exhaustive; see 'Your conduct' and our Community Guidelines for the full rules.
Human trafficking or trafficking in persons of any kind, including for the purpose of sexual exploitation, forced labor, or servitude.
Aiding, abetting, encouraging, soliciting, promoting, or facilitating the abuse, sexual exploitation, or exploitation of any person.
Any sexual content involving a minor, sexualizing a minor, or attempting to contact, groom, or exploit a minor.
Violence and sexual violence, including any threat of, incitement to, glorification of, or facilitation of violence or physical harm; rape, sexual assault, non-consensual sexual contact, coercion into sexual activity, or any sexual activity without enthusiastic, informed, ongoing consent; or sharing intimate images of any person without their consent.
Prostitution, escort services, or exchanging sexual content, contact, or activity for money or anything of value.
Harassment, threats, stalking, or hate speech; impersonation, scams, or any other unlawful activity.
You agree to be honest in your profile, to treat other members with respect, and to obtain enthusiastic consent. You will not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, solicit money, spam, scrape, post illegal content, or use PolyLife for anything unlawful or for commercial solicitation.
Zero tolerance — human trafficking. You will not use PolyLife to engage in, promote, advertise, arrange, or in any way facilitate human trafficking or trafficking in persons, including trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, forced labor, or servitude. This conduct is strictly prohibited, will result in immediate termination, and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable and to law enforcement.
Zero tolerance — violence and sexual violence. Violence and sexual violence are strictly prohibited. You will not threaten, incite, glorify, promote, facilitate, or commit violence or physical harm against any person. You will not commit or facilitate sexual violence of any kind — including rape, sexual assault, non-consensual sexual contact, coercion into sexual activity, or any sexual activity without enthusiastic, informed, ongoing consent — whether or not the person is a PolyLife member. This conduct results in immediate, permanent termination and, where appropriate, a report to law enforcement.
Zero tolerance — abuse and exploitation. You will not aid, abet, assist, encourage, solicit, promote, or facilitate the abuse, sexual exploitation, or exploitation of any person, whether or not that person is a PolyLife member. You will not use PolyLife for prostitution, escort services, commercial sexual services, or the exchange of sexual content, contact, or activity for money or anything of value.
Zero tolerance — minors. PolyLife is strictly for adults 18 and older. You will not upload, request, or share any sexual content involving a minor (child sexual abuse material), sexualize a minor in any way, or attempt to contact, groom, or exploit a minor. Any such content or conduct will be removed, reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, and result in an immediate, permanent ban.
You will not upload or share content depicting non-consensual activity, or images of any person who has not agreed to appear. We may remove content and suspend, ban, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Community Guidelines, at our discretion and without notice.
You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. You grant PolyLife a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the service (for example, showing your profile to potential matches).
Private material — such as verification selfies and messages — is handled per our Privacy Policy and is not shown on your public profile.
Some features are offered through paid plans (Pro). When paid plans are active, prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and auto-renew through your store account, and you manage or cancel them there; store terms and refund policies apply.
During any founding-launch or promotional period, paid features may be provided free of charge; we will give notice before that changes. Codes and comped access may carry an expiration.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your account and associated data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk for other members.
We may suspend or permanently terminate any account immediately and without notice for violations of our zero-tolerance safety rules — including human trafficking, violence or sexual violence, the sexual exploitation or abuse of any person, aiding or facilitating such conduct, or any content or contact involving minors — and may preserve and report related information to NCMEC and law enforcement.
PolyLife is provided 'as is,' without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PolyLife and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of other members. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Where permitted, disputes will be resolved individually and not as a class action.
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new 'last updated' date and, where appropriate, in-app notice. Continuing to use PolyLife after changes means you accept them.
