This policy describes what PolyLife (operated by Patrick Curl) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please review it alongside our Terms of Service.
Account & profile: your email, date of birth (to confirm you're 18+), display name, gender and orientation, photos, and the relationship details you choose to add (structure, boundaries, interests, availability, personality answers).
Location: an approximate, coarsened location (city/region and a jittered latitude/longitude) so we can show nearby matches. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates.
Usage & device: how you use the app (likes, matches, message metadata), plus device and log information needed to run and secure the service.
Verification: if you choose to verify, a selfie you submit for manual review. It is stored privately and is never shown on your profile or to other members.
To provide the service: create your profile, suggest and rank matches, enable messaging and the relationship tools, and process any subscriptions.
To keep people safe: detect abuse and spam, review reports, operate moderation and safety check-ins, and enforce our Terms.
To improve the product: understand which features are used (including A/B tests of upgrade prompts) in aggregate. We show only aggregate, non-identifying statistics publicly.
Your profile — name, age, photos, and the details you add — is visible to other members as part of matching. Your email, date of birth, exact location, private messages, and verification selfie are never shown on your profile.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run PolyLife (for example, our hosting and database provider, email delivery, and push-notification delivery), under agreements that limit their use of it.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of members or the public, or in connection with a business transfer.
You can view and edit your profile at any time, and pause dating so you're hidden from discovery while keeping your account.
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your account and the data associated with it, including your profile, photos, matches, messages, and likes. Some records may be retained briefly where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.
We keep your information while your account is active and delete it after account deletion, except where limited retention is legally required. We use industry-standard safeguards, including row-level security and encrypted connections, but no system is perfectly secure.
PolyLife is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete any such account we become aware of.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using PolyLife you consent to that processing.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new 'last updated' date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
